The Township of Armstrong is proposing the following application to amend the Zoning By-law:

A public meeting will be held to consider the zoning by-law amendment application:
Date: Wednesday, November 4, 2026
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Place: Township of Armstrong Municipal Office, 35 10th Street, Earlton
Purpose of the application: The Township is proposing changes to the zoning by-law to address issues that have caused confusion and delays in processing building permit applications and development requests within the Township. Changes are being proposed throughout the entire by-law and will impact future development permissions and requirements.
Any person may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to the proposed amendment.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of Armstrong to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Armstrong before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township of Armstrong before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Armstrong on the proposed zoning by-law amendment, you must make a written request to the Township of Armstrong.
